Plus, the Ram 1500 does not come standard with LED lighting or fog lamps, but the Sierra 1500 does. Furthermore, the Ram 1500 comes standard with only 18-inch steel wheels, whereas the Sierra 1500 comes standard with 20-inch aluminum wheels.

When it comes to interior design and features, the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 takes the cake. The most powerful engine is the available 6.2-litre EcoTec V8 which delivers 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Also, the Sierra 1500 offers best-in-class diesel horsepower and 4WD diesel towing of up to 13,000 pounds.
The Ram 1500 also offers four engine options. Under the hood of the base model, you'll find a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 that produces 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. The most powerful engine that the Ram 1500 offers is the available 6.2-litre Supercharged HEMI V8 which delivers 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. All engine options are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Although the Ram 1500 may provide more power with its 6.2-litre V8 engine, the truck can only tow up to 12,750 pounds, which is outclassed by the Sierra 1500.
